We’ve been really busy with a number of different projects recently, one of which meant working on a new level – literally!
Lots of companies find themselves in the position of needing more space in their warehouse due to a growth in their business, but without really wanting to relocate.
That’s exactly the problem that was facing a large electrical supplier when they approached us recently, asking for our expertise on how to make more of their premises.
We visited the site, organised a site survey and carried out an assessment on their operations, and determined that a mezzanine floor was the best solution, given the room available and the nature of their operation.
We designed the structure to ensure that it could accommodate packing stations underneath as well as on top, therefore effectively doubling the space created by the floor, which was of course, fully fire-rated to meet all building regulations.
Mezzanine floors are a great way of making the most of your warehousing space, as long as you have enough headroom in your premises.
It is particularly good for companies who have outgrown their site and need extra space, but don’t want the hassle and expense of a move. The new floor can double space quickly and cost-effectively, providing a number of solutions from creating production areas to office space.
If this sounds like the answer to your own business’s need for extra square footage, give us a call and we’ll be happy to visit your site and advise on the best way forward.
